Finding and fixing the most restricting elements, also known as bottlenecks, that impair supply chain performance is the main goal of constraint management. These limitations may have to do with storage space, transportation, supplier dependability, or production capacity. To relieve the bottleneck, effective management entails reallocating resources, modifying schedules, or investing in capacity. Optimized inventory flows, higher service levels, and increased throughput can result from removing constraints.
