Just-in-Time distribution is the practice of synchronizing product deliveries from suppliers or warehouses to arrive exactly when needed at retail locations, production lines, or customer sites. This strategy minimizes onsite inventory levels and maximizes shelf space and responsiveness. It requires robust logistics capabilities, real-time inventory tracking, and seamless coordination between distribution centers, carriers, and destination points. JIT distribution enhances supply chain agility but can be risky in the face of transportation delays or demand variability.
