Zone Skipping is a shipping strategy that consolidates packages destined for multiple customers within a geographic zone before delivery to the final destination. Instead of shipping individual packages to each location, carriers send consolidated loads to a regional hub, from which local delivery is performed. This method reduces shipping costs, improves delivery speed within zones, and optimizes inventory replenishment by enabling bulk shipments. Zone skipping is particularly effective in e-commerce and retail supply chains with dense customer clusters.
